Peak Season Agriculture is a Certified Farm Labor Contractor established to recruit seasonal, temporary H-2A agricultural workers for farmers and ranchers in the Western United States.
Why peak season agriculture?
Peak Season Agriculture was established with one overall goal – and that is to help farmers and ranchers find reliable help in areas where there is a labor shortage, and to help willing and able workers, who often live in developing countries and face income challenges, find employment. Why recruit foreign labor?
Hiring foreign agricultural workers has proven to be beneficial for farmers and ranchers who simply are unable to find local workers willing to put in long days. Peak Season Agriculture workers are available onsite 6 days/week. Workers receive pre-determined hourly pay without overtime pay and are exempt from social security and Medicare taxes.
How does it work?
As your agent, we will apply on your behalf to your State Workforce Agency, the U.S. Department of Labor, and Homeland Security. We will assist the worker(s) with their application and guide them through the interview with the consular in their country. Once we have achieved the necessary approvals and “certification”, we will help coordinate the worker’s transportation and stay by your side throughout the year to oversee compliances and answer any of your questions.
